HOW LONG IS THE MEMBERSHIP PERIOD?

The membership is good for 12 months from the date of purchase.

If I can’t attend the annual meeting, can I still vote?

Yes, if you’re a member and age 18+ at the time of the Annual Meeting.  We will accept votes online.

If I’m not a member, can I attend COK events?

Yes, for any events open to the public.  Our Annual Meeting and SCORE-O will be for members-only.

How are the membership funds allocated?

Membership funds are prioritized in this order:  (1) annual meeting and special members-only event; (2) membership-related expenses; (3) equipment upgrades and cool things like course-setter workshops; (4) general klubb fund.  Rest assured, all funds end up helping the klubb.

We are an all-volunteer organization, so no individual person receives payment for coordinating or performing klubb activities.

Can I be a member if I’m under age 18?

Yes, you can be a member and receive membership benefits except for voting rights.

Who can see my membership info?

Your membership info will not be shared outside of the Carolina Orienteering Klubb leaders and volunteers working on membership activities.

Is my membership tax-deductible?

We don’t provide tax guidance. Please consult with your tax professional.
